Police station value engineering report
The Council will get their first look at several new Police building plans after going through a value engineer process to reduce overall costs. A design team will present the outcome of the process and will answer Councilor questions regarding the various options.

While the original 2 story building option is still available, Councilors will get additional options to choose from including a 3 story building that comes in 2 varieties: a completed 3rd floor or a 3rd floor shell for future expansion. A smaller version of the 2 story building will also be presented.
The different building sizes and layouts offer advantages and disadvantages. Councilors will need to narrow down their choices soon but any final decisions will likely be made in a future meeting.
What will happen? The Council will get information from the design team on various building size options and layouts. They will be able to ask questions but no official action will likely take place.

An executive session allows the Council to meet and discuss a topic that is closed to the public. This executive session will be regarding the following topic: “review and evaluate the employment-related performance of the chief executive officer of any public body.”

Attend the meeting: Come attend City Council meeting in person. On Monday, Dec. 15th, 2025. Work Session starts at 5:30 pm & City Council starts at 7:00 pm at City Hall in downtown Dallas, Oregon. You are free to come and leave whenever during the meeting.
